Dr. Chang is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Master’s degree in Medical Pharmacology from the University of Arizona, and his MD degree from St George’s University School of Medicine.
His previous work experience as a hospitalist caring for terminally ill patients at a cancer center motivated him to pursue additional training in acupuncture and integrative medicine. Through a concierge approach, his hope is to bring immediate relief from pain while helping educate and create a wellness roadmap for long-term, preventative care solutions for his patients.
In 2019, Dr. Chang was the first person to join UCLA’s Community Track East-West fellowship program. He graduated in June 2021 and currently runs a concierge medical practice in Marina del Rey (Los Angeles) called EnerQi Wellness Center which focuses on East-West medicine and aesthetics. Additionally, Dr. Chang works as a physician at UCLA Center for East-West Medicine and as a consultant and educator for the CSC Health System, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides medical care for the underserved population in the downtown and San Gabriel Valley area in greater Los Angeles.
He has dedicated much of his time to teaching and disseminating East-West medicine in different academic and community settings. He has taught undergraduates, medical students, resident physicians, healthcare professionals and led community webinars to help promote mental and physical wellness during the pandemic.
Dr. Chang is fluent and happy to treat you in your preferred language of either English or Mandarin.
